How do you explain this guy? His birth name was Kenneth Dickerson. And while his looks landed him permanent employment as a stereotyped asian – courtly, generically inscrutable and given to ancestral aphorisms – his ethnic background was Anglo-Egyptian-Sudanese. And as if to prove that he came by that Fu Manchu moustache honestly, he was also a Taoist author and founder of a Taoist sanctuary.

If anything, a far more interesting man than the caricatures he portrayed with such evident gusto.
